DMC Houston Hosts Another Texas-Sized YOE

DMC Houston Hosts Another Texas-Sized YOE

Remember last year when DMC employees went down to Texas to check out our Houston office for the first ever Houston YOE?

Well, we did it again!

What is a YOE anyway?

DMC’s YOEs, or Yearly Office Events, are a partially sponsored gathering of DMC employees and their friends that each of our six offices hosts near their location. In Denver, we go skiing, in Chicago, we go to the lake, Boston likes to head to the shore, and our newest offices (New York and St. Louis) are ramping up for their own YOEs soon.

What is there to do in Texas?

DMC Houston showed off their shiny new office expansion and hosted visitors from three other DMC offices for an amazing weekend visit.

Attendees had a chance to choose from tons of activities including (but not limited to) the following.

DMC Houston Yoe attendees get ready for a pedal pub party.

Cecilia Brookshire drinks from a glass boot at Bar Munich in Midtown Houston during the Houston YOE Peddle Pub Party.

A Pedal Pub party - David Sestrich was more than a little excited, and Cecilia Brookshire worked up a serious thirst by the time she reached the last stop on the pedal party at Bar Munich in Houston's Midtown.

A BBQ dinner, because you can never have too much brisket...or bacon. Everyone's got their own opinion about BBQ, but that's only because it's delicious in every style!

DMC Houston YOE attendees float down the Guadalupe River.

One of our favorite memories was hitting the cool water of the Guadalupe River on a sunny 85° Texas afternoon for the river float.

Finally, we didn't forget the Alamo!

DMC Houston attendees enjoy tacos around a table at Torchy's Tacos.

Eating Torchy’s tacos and queso was a great finale to a long weekend of co-worker bonding.

We're already working on our moves to return to Gruene Hall, Texas’ oldest dance hall. The sun has set on this trip to Houston, but we're already looking forward to our next visit to the Lone Star State!
