This year was my first opportunity to attend the popular activity fund subsidized event DMSki. A group of 25 of us, including three significant others, ventured to Vail, Colorado for the famed annual event.
We rented an awesome house this year which comfortably slept all 25 of us. It came complete with an outdoor hot tub, a foosball table, and plenty of space to play Euchre and Blokus. It also had a big kitchen which allowed us to cook everything from spaghetti to beef brisket.
We started our skiing on Friday, and we spent most of our time in the woods of the back bowls. Saturday and Sunday we crossed all the way to the back of the resort and skied The Blue Sky Basin where there was lots of fresh snow from earlier in the week. This is where we found my favorite run, “Lovers Leap”, which consisted of a steep drop with lots of fresh snow, followed by untouched woods.
DMSki 2015 was a great time, and I am sure to go back again next year.
