Kristie Simon Shea holds a B.S. in Applied Mathematics and an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Her Masters research involved designing a control system to regulate oxygen flow through an incubator in order to avoid the development of Retinopathy of Prematurity in premature babies. While at DMC, she has worked on a large variety of projects and industries, most notably food and beverage and automotive with a particular interest in motion control. When not at work, Kristie loves spending time with her husband and three children. She especially enjoys traveling, hiking, board games, and playing sports. A lover of most sports, she has a special affinity for soccer, having played since she was four and continuing through her life.
