Summary

DMC developed a device that creates an electrical stimulus used in a clinical setting.

Solution

DMC developed an innovative medical device that creates an electrical stimulus. Our challenge was to develop a compact medical device with a long battery life and intuitive touchscreen user interface.

We accomplished this by tightly integrating the mechanical and electrical design process to ensure the electronics, screen, and battery fit perfectly within the injection molded plastic enclosure. This resulted in a very compact design with minimal wasted space in the case.

The electronics and firmware were designed for maximum flexibility future enhancement in mind. DMC designed the interface to be simple and intuitive for the user while providing a feature-rich hardware and software architecture to allow almost limitless adjustment by the R&D team.
