DMC St. Louis Celebrates Grand Opening

DMC St. Louis Celebrates Grand Opening

On August 16th, DMC's St. Louis office celebrated our Grand Opening. The party started with technologically advanced cocktails and Siemens-powered ice cream and ended with a Cardinals Game that evening.

Although we've been doing business in St. Louis since last spring, the event marked the first official DMC St. Louis party in our newly renovated Richmond Heights office space. We were thrilled to host several of our partners and customers for a night filled with food, drinks, and fun.

High-Powered Cocktails

One of our favorite internal projects, the DMC DrinkBot, also made an appearance at the party. The Siemens-powered DrinkBot highlights several factory automation technologies offered by DMC while serving a variety of drinks. Serving everything from cocktails to Italian sodas, the latest version of DrinkBot was a huge hit with our guests.

Sweet Success

Our St. Louis team is small but mighty. According to Systems Engineer Andrew Crowley, "It has been great to help grow the office from the ground up. We have a small team in St Louis, but everyone works together to help each other out on their projects. Since DMC is so new to the area, we have to work extra hard to win over new clients and build our reputation in the area. These additional challenges make project pressures just a little bit bigger and successes a little bit sweeter."

Speaking of sweeter, another demo we had on display at the event was a Siemens-powered ice cream maker. We first enjoyed the ice cream maker's at the 2018 Siemens Summit and loved hosting the demo in our office.

We chowed down on barbeque from Sugarfire, a local favorite. Guests then challenged each other on the office pool table.

Making it Official

DMC team members from our Chicago, Boston, and Seattle offices came to St. Louis to show support for our new office. Andrew Crowley remarked, "The Grand Opening party was a great opportunity to spend time with colleagues, customers and partners while not on the clock."

Andrew's favorite part of the evening was introducing the St. Louis area-customer base to DMC at-large. "As a smaller office, we have all had the opportunity to meet most of the customers and partners, but many of these individuals have never met anyone outside of the DMC St. Louis office," he said. "It was wonderful for them to meet more of the greater DMC team and see how all of our offices make up 'One-DMC.'”

No DMC Grand Opening would be complete without a champagne toast and ribbon cutting! DMC St. Louis looked like a real team in our matching jerseys.

Out to the Ball Game

After officially toasting the new office, we headed to Busch Stadium using the nearby MetroLink station.

Although the Cardinals didn't take home a win, it was an exciting game and a fun opportunity to bond with our team and partners. I even ran into a local celebrity!

DMC is proud to have made a home in St. Louis. "The food, the culture, the community; all of it provides the feel of a big city, without actually having to work in a city the size of Chicago or New York," said Chase Hollingsead, Systems Engineer.

We look forward to watching our office grow. We have one new hire starting this month, and we'll be attending several college job fairs this fall. Thanks to our clients and partners for helping us break into the St. Louis market. We're honored to by your trust, and we look forward to a bright future of working together!
