DMC is excited to lead two presentations at the annual Control System Integrators Association (CSIA) Executive Conference. This year's event takes place April 24 - 27 at the Hyatt Regency in San Francisco.
About the CSIA Executive Conference
Over 500 system integrators and industry partners will meet to share best practices at the CSIA Executive Conference. This year's theme is “Growth Through Innovation and Sound Business Practices." DMC has been CSIA certified since 2009, and we always look forward to learning from our peer integrators and industry experts at the conference.
DMC Presentations
Making Business Practices the Backbone of your Company - April 26 at 1:30 p.m.
Rick Rietz, DMC's Director of Consulting Services, will discuss how establishing business practices can impact your company and drive your CSIA Certification audit process. This is Rick’s third time presenting at a CSIA Executive Conference.
Establishing effective business practices (BPs) is key to the success of system integrators and the focus of the CSIA Certification audit that’s required to earn and maintain CSIA Certification. Once BPs are established, getting your organization to use and adopt them can be an even more daunting task.
During this session, you will learn how to setup an effective BP structure inside SharePoint (Office 365 or on-premises) that’s easy to maintain and, more importantly, easy for your employees to use. You will see a working solution and hear from CSIA Certified members who have taken advantage of SharePoint to create a BP backbone within their business.
Career Development Plans as a Competitive Advantage - April 26 at 2:15 p.m.
DMC's President, Frank Riordan, will share how offering career development opportunities within your organization can benefit both your employees and your company. Frank has previously presented on best practices for hiring engineers and participated in a panel on employee hiring and retention at the CSIA Executive Conference.
By offering employees career opportunities where they can truly reach their potential, both the company and employees win. A few years back, Frank Riordan gave a presentation on how his company developed a great company culture for attracting and hiring great talent. In this presentation, Frank will share a follow-up on how DMC has continued to improve its culture, with a focus on providing career advancement opportunities. Frank will share DMC’s Career Development Improvement Plan, which was created with internal committees to address the needs of DMC’s ambitious and creative workforce, including the successes and pitfalls seen in implementing the plan.
We hope to see you at these sessions, during the 5K, and around the conference at CSIA 2018!
