Sporting Clays Activity Fund Event

Sporting Clays Activity Fund Event

Some members of the DMC Denver team recently capitalized on the Activity Fund to take a trip out to Colorado Clays Shooting Park for a round of sporting clays.

The sporting clays course at Colorado Clays features 15 shooting stations. Each station is equipped with two clay target throwers. The throwers are positioned differently at all of the stations, so each one presents a unique challenge.

How It Works

There are 50 pairs of targets between all 15 stations for a total of 100 shots. Depending on the station, the shooter sees either three or four pairs of targets. The targets are thrown in either a “report pair” or a “true pair.”  A report pair means that the second target gets thrown as soon as the shooter fires at the first target. A true pair means that both of the targets are thrown into the air at the same time.

Straight Shooter

Ryan Lake walked away from the shooting event as the champion, breaking the most targets out of the four DMC participants. The event was greatly enjoyed by all, and the Denver office definitely has plans for more shooting events in the future.
