Trumped Up at DMC Chicago's 2015 Holiday Party
Each January, DMC pauses after the New Year’s hustle to reflect on the past year and recognize a job well done at our annual holiday party. The tradition has evolved from an indoor racing event in Chicago, to cruising Lake Michigan, the heights of the Signature Room at the Hancock Building, and the Crystal Gardens at Navy Pier. With the addition of our Boston and Denver offices in recent years, DMC’s holiday parties now span three cities!
This January, the Chicago team was treated to a swanky affair atop the Second City’s second tallest skyscraper, Trump International Tower. Over one hundred DMC employees and guests gathered in the Trump’s Grand Ballroom to celebrate, making it DMC’s largest holiday party gathering! Among the attendees were nine new DMC employees who will join the team in 2015.
The evening began with a cocktail reception in the foyer. We admired each other’s festive finery as well as the exquisite views of the Chicago River and surrounding architecture. Heading into the ballroom for dinner, all were impressed with the high ceilings, richly decorated tablescapes, and Chicago backdrop outside the immense windows. The four course meal included entrees like beef tenderloin, mahi mahi, and butternut squash tart, as well as a caramel apple dessert with coconut ice cream.
As dinner wound down, DMC’s leadership team reflected on the surprises, challenges, and accomplishments of the past year. We enjoyed music, an open bar, beautiful views, a few rounds of HeadsUp, and wonderful company for the rest of the evening. The spontaneous after-party is a bit of a DMC tradition as well, and this year we crossed the Chicago River after leaving the illustrious Trump Tower to enjoy one more round at the illustrious Palmer House.
It’s always a fantastic treat to get dressed up and enjoy the finer side of Chicago at DMC’s holiday parties. However, the opportunity to socialize with friends and greet new faces is the real cause for celebration.
