DMC Attains Most Siemens Certified Engineers in the USA
DMC just attained a rather significant milestone - we now have eight people who have met all of the requirements for the Global Technical Certification in the SIMATIC Technology areas of S7 PLCs, SIMATIC HMIs, and SIMATIC Networking.
This is signifcant from several points of view. The first is that the certification test is, quite bluntly, pretty darn hard - I think the pass rate is less than 40%. Secondly, in order to be part of the Siemens Solution Partner Program, an integrator must have at least two people who pass the certification test. Passing the test really is no small feat - it is an all-day test, with both a written and hands-on portion that requires both the theoretical and practical knowledge of a wide array of Siemens products.
Finally, although the minimum requirements for the Siemens Partner Program is two certified engineers, we have as many people at DMC as possible take the exam to both validate their knowledge and expertise and also to identify gaps in their knowledge so that we can improve as individuals and as a team.
So, congratulations goes out to the following engineers for passing the the Siemens Global Certification or Recertification exams:
