Every winter, DMC teammates love to hit the slopes together across the country. While the Denver team hosts a weekend of fun at a Yearly Office Event (YOE), other teams planned ski trips to the East Coast and Midwest using our monthly Activity Fund budget. All of these events are partially company-sponsored, and they encourage DMC colleagues to have fun and get to know each other better while doing something they enjoy.
DMSki in Colorado
Once a year, the Denver office is visited by the DMSki fairy, who brings fluffy powder for skiing, plenty of friends from other offices, and lots of fun. This year, the fairy specified an iconic destination: Steamboat Springs, Colorado.
Pre-DMSki: Copper & Winter Park
The most adventurous DMSkiers came to visit Denver a full week in advance to take advantage of our legendary “Pre DMSki” ski trip. They got to experience the FULL experience of ski commuting in Denver: I70 traffic, parking lot cookouts, and bluebird days spent shredding the gnar.
This year, the Denver office hosted our visiting friends at Winter Park and Copper Mountain. We were able to use our Activity Fund from February to fund a parking lot cookout, so everyone was well-fueled for a day full of skiing.

An Evening at Lucky Strike
The Denver office and all our visiting friends spent the eve of DMSki at Lucky Strike in downtown Denver. We used our March activity fund to provide food, drinks, and fun for the DMCers in attendance.
We enjoyed graham cracker porters while we battled to kill each other in the Killer Queen arcade game, but the greatest victory of the night came when we pooled all our resources (tickets) to purchase a VERY IMPORTANT sign for the Denver office.
We salute Finn and Natalie for their ticket-gathering service at Goatz and Ropes.

Locked in
Shredding at Steamboat
On Wednesday, DMCers loaded up their cars and made the three-hour drive from the Denver office to Steamboat Springs, CO. In Steamboat, we marveled at the immaculate terrain for skiing, as well as at the MASSIVE hot tub at the house.
DMSki was packed with unforgettable moments, starting with Maya leading an impromptu yoga session at the Strawberry Hot Springs. Over at the park, Kohmei and Tim J had perfectly synchronized epic wipeouts on jump #3. Tim J redeemed himself by landing a clean 360 alongside Josh W, both sticking the trick like pros. The crew also took a thrilling ride down the bobsled track. Ramone kept the momentum going by shipping it on the Blues.
With an honorable mention of seeing 40+ DMSkiers take over the mountain in their incredibly sick hockey sweaters.
But first, let me take a selfie
WARNING
Taking the Fun Back East: DMSKeast Hits Okemo
While the Denver event crew made memories out west, our East Coast teammates weren't about to miss out on the snowy fun. This year’s DMSKeast trip brought together around 20 teammates for a weekend full of connection, celebration, and a bit of adventure in Okemo.

Life is better on the slopes

Out of office. Skiing with the crew
The event stood out for many reasons—most memorably, we celebrated the birthdays of Emily Blackman and Kohmei Kadoya! My dog Daisy, also made the trip, adding her charm to the weekend and quickly becoming a favorite among the group and our new mascot. One of the more unexpected highlights was a group of us trying cross-country skiing for the first time. It was challenging and humbling but a great reminder of the fun that comes with learning something new alongside friends. The weekend wrapped up with tired legs, full hearts, and a stronger sense of community.

Celebrating with cake and board games!

The final ride
Midwest Joins the Mountain Fun: Da Wiskinson CheeseSkinson
Not to be outdone by the East or West, the Chicago event crew brought their own flavor to DMC’s ski season.

Keep calm and ski on
This winter, the Chicago team decided to join in on the DMC ski tradition with our own spin: “Da Wiskinson CheeseSkinson”. About 12 of us made the trip to Alpine Valley Resort in Wisconsin for a full day of skiing, snowboarding, and team bonding.
We met up early in the morning and were quick to hit the slopes. Some of us were seasoned winter sports legends, and others were completely new to the sports. A few tried snowboarding for the first time, and after a couple of early falls and some quick tips, they were crushing it by lunchtime. We took a break at midday to enjoy lunch and a few Spotted Cows, Wisconsin’s iconic beer, while swapping stories and warming up. To wrap up the day, we all headed down the mountain together for a final group run – an awesome way to close out a trip that lived up to its name.

Winter adventures with my snowmies
From Colorado to Vermont to Wisconsin, DMCers made the most of Winter with unforgettable trips, new experiences, and plenty of laughs along the way. Whether it was tackling fresh powder, testing out cross-country skis, or simply sharing stories over lunch, these events captured the spirit of what makes DMC culture special: great people, shared adventures, different backgrounds, and memories we’ll be talking about for a long time. We’re already counting down to next year’s ski season.
