Zak is particularly interested in object oriented design in LabVIEW. He has experience with turn key systems, having managed the development process for stand-alone test stands including test stand design, hardware specification, software development, test stand build, and deployment to the customer facility. He has also worked in experimental physics writing control software for super conducting magnets that are used in a linear particle accelerator. Zak's aerospace experience includes a vision inspection system utilizing Cognex hardware for inspecting various airplane components.
Zak is member of DMC's Test & Measurement team in the Chicago office. Before joining DMC, Zak worked as a Controls Engineer at Sherwin-Williams. A Portland native, he graduated from the University of Portland with a double major in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics. Outside of work, Zak enjoys traveling, spending time outside, and photography.
