Dave is a member of DMC's Automation team in Chicago. He is a jack of all trades: farmer, student, engineer, researcher, and teacher. Dave has completed automation projects in a variety of industries including bioenergy, medical, and automotive. He is proficient in Siemens, WinCC, and Rockwell Control Logix, and he is a member of the Beckhoff EKP development Committee at DMC. His hobbies and pastimes include STEM, languages, philosophy, and cultures (especially Chinese). Dave believes that camping, hiking, marathons, traveling, cycling, whiskey, and puns keep the mind, body, and spirit in harmony. He graduated from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering.
